Read before you plan to attend 'Informal SPs Meeting' on May 27...


Dear Fellow Teresa Ville Owners (who have not signed CSA),

 As you may have read on the notice boards that few SPs (only partial names without unit numbers) have organized an 'informal meeting' on Sunday May 27.  From the heading of notice, it is clear that some pro enbloc SPs plan to nudge, persuade or push other SPs to sign the CSA, as the CSC is grossly short of additional supporters.

 In view of very informative posts on this blog titled "Beware of Fake News" part 1 - 3; we suggest that if you plan to attend fore-mentioned 'informal meeting', before taking any of their arguments on face value, please reconfirm the validity of same with your fellow neighbors, who have sound expertise and latest insights in subject of property matters in Singapore, including access to independent legal advice.  PS: You may also wonder, as to how come few SPs can have the privilege of putting an 'informal meeting' notice on notice board, while other SPs do not. Instead they have no choice but to send post paid invitation, if they have to call for a information session. Should not there be even field for all SPs?

    I agree that it isn't a level playing field. I would exhort all in the SC,MC, MA office, pro, against and neutral parties to exercise gentlemanly conduct at all times.

Is it worth signing this CSA ? Reflection on EOGM on Feb 28, 2021

  EOGM on Feb 28, 2021 Contribution from one of the fellow owners of Teresa Ville Dear Fellow owners of Teresa Ville, Like many of you, I attended zoom EOGM on Sunday, February 28, 2021. I would like to share some of my reflections and observations. 1.       Unproductively long Meeting and Leaving things to the Last day :   While the meeting was well organized with almost no technical glitch, it went on for too long (5 + hours ). Some owners proposed amendments to the fee structure and terms of Collective Sale Agreement (CSA), but the CSC chairman refused to adopt any of the suggestions and proposals from the owners. It would have saved our time, if the CSC chairman could have clarified in his opening remarks, that since Feb 28, 2021 was the last date of the mandate of Collective Sales Committee, there was no time and scope to make any amendments to the CSA, and the engagement of the property agent and law firm.
